Striped Bass fishing in Duxbury, Plymouth, and Kingston has really heated up in the last few days with some bigger fish moving in as well. We have seen a ton of fish in the 26-27 inch range, but we are starting to see more keepers.
Also Striped bass have moved into Race Point really thick this week. Fish from 30-40 inches have been crashing surface in the morning and hanging around throughout the day.
Pictures from a trip in Duxbury Bay this week.
Had a good day on the water yesterday with the Solvik crew. Haddock were a little spotty at first but we were able to get on some schools and get our limit out of it (75 keepers) in about three and a half hours. Great weather and the kids had a blast.
The Haddock fishing is some of the best it has ever been. Just a forty minute or so ride out of Duxbury Harbor puts us on the grounds. Great for groups as everyone is able to have a rod in their hand. You are allowed 15 keepers per person. Book a trip while it’s hot!!
The mackerel and herring have shown up off of Gurnet point. We found the bait up tight to the last green can and got enough bait in about 15 minutes. There are schools of Smaller striped bass all throughout Duxbury and Kingston bays with some keepers mixed in. The best bet is to cast to them or drop a live bait in the action. Fish should start to hold structure within the next week.
